The hEX PoE is an Ethernet router with five ports, designed for locations that don’t require wireless connectivity. It features a USB 2.0 port and an SFP port that allow for optical fiber connectivity. Additionally, ports 2-5 can power other PoE-capable devices that use the same voltage as the unit.
Despite its affordability and compact size, the hEX PoE comes equipped with an 800MHz CPU that can handle all advanced configurations supported by RouterOS. Furthermore, its Ethernet ports are shielded, and it eliminates the need for additional power adapters and cables due to a max current of 1A per port.
The hEX PoE supports both passive PoE input and passive or 802.3af/at PoE output. Furthermore, Ethernet ports 2-5 can power other PoE-capable devices with the same voltage as applied to the unit. It can even power at/af mode B (4,5+)(7,8-) compatible devices, provided that the input voltage is within the 48-57 range. Overall, the hEX PoE is a reliable and cost-effective solution for managing multiple.
