The Cisco2811 offers more value than earlier generations of Cisco routers at similar prices by having up to five times more performance, up to ten times more security and voice performance, new embedded service options, and much higher slot performance and density while still supporting most of the over 90 existing modules for the Cisco 1700, Cisco 2600, and Cisco 3700 Series. The Cisco 2800 Series has the capability to handle multiple high-quality services at wire speeds up to multiple T1/E1/xDSL connections. They also have embedded encryption acceleration, voice DSP slots on the motherboard, IPS and security system functions, optional call processing and voice mail support, high-density interfaces for various connectivity needs, and enough performance and slot density for future expansion and advanced applications.
