The CiscoN9K-C9336C-FX2-E switches are part of the fixed Cisco Nexus 9000 platform that uses Cisco Cloud Scale technology. They support cloud-scale deployments that are cost-effective and secure, with wire-rate telemetry and more endpoints and cloud services. They have a modern system architecture that delivers high performance and meets the growing demands of scalable data centers and enterprises.

The Cisco Nexus 9300-FX2 series expands on the Nexus 9300-FX series with more bandwidth capacity. The switches have various interface options to help data centers transition smoothly from 1-Gbps and 10-Gbps speeds to 25-Gbps at the server, and from 10- and 40-Gbps speeds to 50- and 100-Gbps at the aggregation layer. The switches protect customers’ investments by offering large buffers, flexible Layer 2 and Layer 3 scalability, and performance that adapts to the changing needs of virtualized data centers and automated cloud environments.

Cisco offers two modes of operation for Cisco N9K-C9336C-FX2-E Switches. Customers can use Cisco NX-OS Software to operate the switches in standard Cisco Nexus switch environments (NX-OS mode). Customers can also use the infrastructure that supports the Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI™) platform to benefit from an automated, policy-based, systems-management approach (ACI mode).
